There are numerous grab and go prepared food options here at the Co-op that are perfect for busy schedules. From the soup of the day to sandwiches, wraps, and even more options there is always something freshly prepared for a quick meal between classes or practice. Another delicious choice is the Blue House sushi that gets delivered every Friday around 1pm!
Healthy Food Options
The Co-op carries unique products you won’t find in most big-box grocery stores. We also have one of the largest selections of organic, vegan, vegetarian, and local food options in Potsdam to fit any customer regardless of their dietary needs.
Yogurt
If you’re looking for a healthy snack or breakfast, North Country Creamery is a grass fed yogurt option made locally. We also offer Painterland Sisters organic yogurt, along with many other options to fit your taste and budget.
Protein Bars
Protein bars are a perfect snack to grab on the way to class or the gym. There is a large variety of protein bars in the store with a range of flavors and ingredients. Some of the brands we offer are Dak Bar, Amrita, No Cow, and Balanced Tiger. All of these companies offer something different so there is something that everyone is sure to love!
Produce
Along with prepared food the Co-op offers a great selection of fresh produce. Even in the winter months there are locally grown options on the shelves. There is a good selection of fresh fruits and vegetables including apples, avocados, carrots, broccoli, and potatoes and as the spring and summer come around there will only be more available.
Snacks
Let’s be honest, college life runs on snacks. Whether you’re studying late, heading to practice, or just need something between classes, we’ve got options you can feel good about eating.
By The Weight
One of the most affordable sections in the store is our bulk, by-the-weight section. You can fill your own container with nuts, chocolate-covered treats, dried fruits, candies, and more. It’s a great way to create your own trail mix while sticking to a budget.
Some other exciting snacks are the Awake caffeinated chocolates and Epic meat sticks which use an array of different meats for an easy protein packed snack. There are also numerous brands of chips and salsas that ensure we can fit anyone's snack cravings.
The Potsdam Food Co-op is proud to be a resource for local college students looking to eat healthy and honest food on a budget. Stop in next Sunday with your student ID and see how easy it can be to eat well while staying on budget.
