BIO: Larissa Fawkner
Current Position: Board Member
I moved to the Village of Potsdam in 2021 to be closer to rivers, mountains, and the natural environment. The first thing that my husband Allen and I did when we explored our new downtown was to get a Co-op membership.
I was excited to see the Co-op receive the DRI grant and believe the expansion project is the only way the Co-op can thrive and be sustainable.
The skills that I can contribute to the Co-op through Board service include strategic visioning, media relations, grant writing, business innovation, and stakeholder relations.
Cooperatives deliver value to their members beyond the provision of specialty and wholefoods. Co-op’s bring community together, provide a year-round vibrant epicenter of local growers and producers, and serve as a model of responsible business practices. I’m thrilled to be involved as the Potsdam Food Co-op enters a new phase of growth and service to the North Country community.
